South Africa’s World Cup Logo for 2010 is a Joke

A player is doing a bicycle kick overlayed against the colors of South Africa in the shape of the continent. Someone has even created a “Not the 2010 Logo” site in response.
One man’s reaction:
“[It looks like] a frog jumping over a pork chop.”
What could they have done to make this better? A different design - something less busy.
