Way to reduce your carbon footprint, mostly by increasing your print on tarmac. It sure looks like fun!

This priceless picture thanks to Lady Jay Dee’s blog.

Suggestion was perhaps several trips at worst. At best, bus or other means of transport where they would not be so exposed to the elements or danger of critical injury.

I do hope they made it to their destination safe and sound.

Those who have lived in Africa know this isn’t staged. It might be excessive, but not staged. My suggestion? Hell, I don’t know what to say… maybe make wider roads?

Chair FAIL Turns Nene into Interweb Celebrity

Posted: February 26th, 2009 | Author: anonymouse | Filed under: Failure, Funny, Product Fail, Video | Tags: , , , , , , | No Comments »

When a chair that probably had seen better days decided to go asunder, right under the very eminent Mr. Nene, who at the time was being interviewed live in studio on SABC2’s A View from the House, it shot him to instant interweb celebrity.

The horror of it all as he looks, desperately hopeful that there would be no aftershocks after the initial thunderous crack as some seemingly important bits of the chair suspension gave in followed seconds later by the full collapse right in the middle of his reply.

What I think takes the cake here is that the presenter skipped right onto the next news item like dude had not a scant instant previously, vanished under the desk! A right trooper, I know I would have definitely joined him under the table clutching my sides as I laughed my head off.

He was apparently retrieved and handed a new chair and the interview proceeded after a short ad break.

Front view, note the spiral steel staircase. No, it is not the fire escape.

We are moving on up, to a highrise apartment in the skyhiiiigh…The Jeffersons sure did not have this apartment in mind when they were writing that theme song, yes?

Snapped from: Sibbie’s Blog.

Would you believe me if I told you that this is a HOSTEL!!!

LOCATION: Juja [Nairobi - Thika Road]

APPROXIMATE SIZE: 100 square feet! (3m by 3m)

But I understand why he did this…Hostels in Juja sell like hot cake! There’s a huge demand for them. I hope he gets tenants though…

I personally think this is an EPIC WIN.

AfriFAIL “About” page FAIL

Oh, the irony!

No suggestion on what I’d do better, other than maybe, errrr… actually write an “About” page? LOL.

An Afrifail fail

[Additional editors note: Proving that AfriFAIL excels at failure in the purest of traditions: self-fail.]

Unnecessarily unnecessary

A (hi)story of bad signage:

“In an effort by the ministry of education to illustrate the concept of redundance to it’s students, the Ghanaian government had signs placed along the roadside. The funny thing is, there really aren’t very many bumps, just holes.”

Road bumps ahead... oh, really?

A couple more.
